Sorry about the confusion.
Let me know your thoughts.

RFRK Maya 2014.sp5 and Arnold
Hey everyone, We have a Realflow job in and trying to get all the latest bells and whistles up and running. The RFRK for Maya and Arnold stuff has yet to work for me...not sure where things are breaking. The shelf buttons all bring up a file browser to select the files for importing, but the nodes n...

Re: Morphing A Logo
One other tip is to not try to do it all in one pass. The final result should be something you composite together with elements. Trying to make a single sim go from forming to hard edges would be insanely complicated and hard to direct. Also, don't forget about reversing sims and elements. Start fro...

Re: Particles to form logo but still keep organic shape
This is really tricky stuff. The big question is "Do you need a still or an animation?" I've had to do some pretty specific shaping before and personally I recommend thinking much more abstractly about your approaches. Try lots of different setups throwing liquid from different shaped containers and...

Re: Realflow 2014 .ass files: motion blur, additional attrib
That's great news Enrique! Thanks so much for the update. I saw the announcement about the update and was looking forward to checking it out...now even more so! Thanks also for the tip about the shutter flag. I will do some testing with that as it could help out in other cases as well. Keep up the g...

Re: Realflow 2014 .ass files: motion blur, additional attrib
Enrique, Yeah, my post was definitely a bit convoluted. The gist of it was to state that exporting velocity to an ass file is not enough to render motion-blur with Arnold as far as I have ever seen. My example was to show where I believe the motion-blur data is being stored in the ass file. It isn't...

Re: Realflow 2014 .ass files: motion blur, additional attrib
Yeah, drop me a line with any questions about this...Gus contacted me a little while back to test some initial ass files that were written out from Realflow. The tricky thing about .ass files is that the motion blur is baked into the geometry based on current motion blur settings. As far as I know, ...

Realflow 2014 .ass files: motion blur, additional attributes
Hey all, Congrats on the latest release. There is some great stuff in there. We are really impressed. Just doing some tests with .ass files and wanted to get your tips on workflow. What is the workflow for getting motion blur and maybe even additional point data of a mesh into Arnold for Maya? I can...

Re: Rigid Alembic Caches: Velocity, UVs and POINT NUMBER!
Alright, I have made some progress on this. So it seems the bug is not consistant with Houdini's Alembic export partitioning. It is closer to the realm now of 'something to look out for' instead on unfixable bug. With a little cleanup you can make a shattered mesh and use Houdini's Alembic partition...

Re: Rigid Alembic Caches: Velocity, UVs and POINT NUMBER!
Yeah, that is the root of the issue. Houdini really doesn't need transforms for most of the stuff you do. Needing to separate transforms for every piece of a shattered mesh would make the benefits of exporting to Realflow really hard to sell. Everything would be fine if Houdini's Alembic Exporter di...
