Dyverso PBD -thin wall of particles

Hello, I have noticed that sometimes when filling an object the Dyverso PBD solver creates a thin wall on the sides of the object that will not go down and settle with the rest of the particles. Any idea on what is causing that behavior and how to solve it? You can see in the image that most particl...

Re: Dyverso-Granular how to settle down?

Hi, Sorry for the late response, I was not getting the reply notifications. I believe I had the cohesion set at 1. I opened the demo scene to look at the settings and noticed it was set to 0.4 so I tried that and it stopped the vibrations. Here's the final sim: https://youtu.be/3t3N8P-XgTY Thank you.

Re: CUDA/OPEN CL ERROR

Hi, Just to let you know, I Had the CUDA error occasionally with the final test scenes. That is a couple of time it crashed half way or so, but then other times it finish the simulation without any problems, without making any changes to the scene. Here are the links to the final rendered tests: htt...

Dyverso-Granular how to settle down?

Hi, Which settings or workflow its necessary in order to settle down the simulation for the granular solver? Right now the particles keep vibrating and wont stop moving completely. There I made an initial state and have a drag daemon at 1.0 and a k speed with min 0 - max 1. Domain Damping at 1 and t...

Re: CUDA/OPEN CL ERROR

Yes, it was only crashing when mixing the liquid and rigid domains. I ran both simulations separately and there were no issues. However I did some more tests. I removed the hub and connected the nodes directly removing from the rigid domain the daemons that were intended to affect only the liquid do...

Re: CUDA/OPEN CL ERROR

Yes they are a evga Titan X Hybrid and a evga Titan Z. Each one has 12GB GDDR5

When I got the CUDA ERROR I was using the Titan Z - GPU(1) .

I then switched to the Titan X and got the same CUDA ERROR and then tried the Titan X with OPEN CL and got the CL error.

CUDA/OPEN CL ERROR

Hi, I am getting this CUDA/OPEN CL ERROR Any clue what may be causing this? what does it mean. The CL one is printing OUT_OF_RESOURCES. Does that mean my GPUs are getting overloaded with such a simple scene? CUDA error screenshot CL error screenshot Thanks (Edited by Alex to link screenshots externa...

Re: Dyverso - Caronte Explosions

Yeah I thought about the GPU making a difference in the simulation. I enabled my GPU and it looks like your playblast now. I did notice that the rigid domain was not enabled for export, however I did a new test with the rigid domain enabled for export and I am getting the same issue. It seems the ob...

Re: Dyverso - Caronte Explosions

Thanks again. I downloaded the example file but there are still some things not quite right. - When I simulate the example file the sim is a lot different than your playblast. Why would that be? - Still if I stop the simulation and try to resume it the toruses reset their position and stop respondin...
