Re: Mesh channels (magnitudes/vertex colors) in maya?
Hi izo, The channels in Maya are broken for around 2 years now due to a bug in RFConnect. So, given the fact that it's been an issue for such an incredibly long time I wouldn't bet on a fix anymore. There's also no workaround for getting channel data from any of RF's particle or mesh sources. It sim...

Re: Dripping from a spherical object
The reason for my absence is simply that I got fired two months ago. At NL they have no need for someone like me anymore and now there's no one left to help customers with their questionsThomas was here replying daily and now complete silence for months.

Re: Geometry and the Fill Emitter
It's true that some objects like cylinders are not so easy to handle, but this time it's a C4D thing, not a RF thing. You can read more about the reasons here in the RF|C4D online manual: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/RFC4D2/Filling+Objects+Troubleshooting MoText objects are something we didn...

Re: Maxwell material library to work with RealFlow 2014
Well, Maxwell is a different story and a different team. The Maxwell online material library has been redesigned from scratch and I don't think that there's a copy somewhere. I can ask, but I don't have too much hope...

Re: Maxwell material library to work with RealFlow 2014
Yes, you can still download RF2014 from the customer portal which contains most of the Maxwell materials we have in RF10. The materials don't work together because there was a version change in Maxwell from 2 to 3 in the meantime.

Re: network/simnode, how to
In this case please get in touch with our sales department. As far as I know the standard license can be used as a GUI or a node license, but not both at the same time on different computers. Anyway, maybe this changed in the meantime. if not, what is the simnode license good for? As said, if you ha...

Re: Layered liquid (Dyverso PBD&SPH)
It's a known issue. This layer effect is by design and occurs only in conjunction with fluid-object interaction. If I recall correctly it's the result of our attempts to reduce the pumping and sloshing effects while fluid are settling. It's there for several years now. There are several suggestions ...

Re: network/simnode, how to
Sorry, but that's not possible. Firstly, you have a node-locked license and this means it's tied to a certain computer. The possibility to use a standard license as a node was meant for users with multiple standard licenses: in this case you can bring in these computers as additional nodes without h...
