Re: Mesh Clipping

Yeah, I don't even have the clipping section available at all, even with all of the elements in the scene. It's simply not there. Maybe it's a Mac thing (I'm on a Mac)?

Mesh Clipping

I just realized that I do not have the Mesh Clipping option available in the Mesher object. I have the latest version of RF|C4D (3.1.10025). I seem to have all of the other 3.0 features available. Is anyone else missing this feature?

Re: collider moving upwards towards emitter

Without seeing the file, I'd first check to see if you're getting that behavior when you cache the sim. Sometimes there is weirdness playing back the sim in the viewport that you don't get once the sim is cached. The next thing I'd try is adding scene substeps; it could be that your object is moving...

Re: NL please bring back the online help pages

Gotcha. I haven't upgraded to version 3.0 so I can't test that out. It seems to be a problem specific to that version though as everything is functioning normally in version 2.6 for me. Don't worry though; I'm sure with the enormous amount of activity on this forum, you'll have an answer any time no...

Re: NL please bring back the online help pages

Christian, I can still see the manuals at the link below; is this what you are referring to?

Re: Splash of water

Can you share the file? It's always easier to diagnose issues that way. Without seeing the file, it looks like maybe you've got the surface tension set really high, which is making the fluid particles contract into spheres too quickly.

Re: Dripping from a spherical object

Thomas, I am very sorry to hear about this is well. I cannot imagine their reasoning as you have been such a great (and the only!) resource for users. This doesn't send a great message about the future of products like RF|C4D. I'd like to suggest something to you but it's probably not appropriate fo...

Re: Dripping from a spherical object

Thanos, I think it's down to you and I on this forum. :) Here's a file that I adapted from a caramel setup that I had done previously that approximates what you are looking for. It does have an emitter dripping the paint onto the sphere, but you can easily omit the first part of the animation, or cr...

More communication please!

I think I speak for a lot of RF users in saying that more communication from Next Limit, both on this forum and elsewhere, would be greatly appreciated. Many questions in the forums go unanswered, with months between any contact with any RF staff. Aside from people not being able to get technical qu...

Re: Wetmap shader breaks too often

As a follow up to the wet map issue, I wanted to mention that Cinema 4D R20 has the ability to have particles directly effect vertex maps, so you can create wet maps via Thinking Particles in a much more direct and controllable way than the current RF|C4D functionality. It would be great if next ver...
