Hi
I had once a similar problem because I have 2 independent ethernet ports in my PC and they show different ip configurations, depending on which one is active. But maybe I just messed up the process at the time...

Re: Morphing objects
Hi the best "daemon" for such a task is the magic daemon (you probably have seen this in the tutorials already). In RFC4D it is not much different than in the standalone. Make sure that you un-check enable collision on the logo object so that the particles can go inside the object. The challenge is ...

Re: hybrido underwater explotion
Hi 1. Create a filled box, for example by adding a Hybrido closed domain 2. Place an attractor daemon underwater, with attenuation active 3. Define with keyframes a sharp decrease of the force into the minus, such as from 0 to -500 and back. 4. Make sure that the attractor is connected to the Hybrid...

Re: Opening Object (Soda Can) - correct Collider configuration
Hi I would not care about the opener object at all. Instead, you could place an additional object shaped as needed (for example a simple cylinder), which only acts on the simulation as a plug, then de-activate it. The can would always be open in this case, with the opener/lid mechanism not acting as...

Re: disable particles partially
Hi I think you have to leave the particles alone, because they represent the simulation, and such a partial disappearance needs to be restricted to the meshing, therefore -> mesh-clipping. You also could do this step not in RF itself but using a field or boolean operation in your 3D software after i...

Re: Granular question
Hi
the behavior of the granular solver is very much depending on the iterations of the simulation parameters. A higher number makes it more solid. You may need something like 400 instead of 40 iterations.

Yes, maybe it is the Mac. I had a look here with R20, latest RFC4D, W10

Re: Mesh Clipping
Works well here. Maybe you first need all the elements in the scene before the option appears. From R20 on you have to use the "fields" of C4D for clipping.

Re: Set initial state why does it pour again (PIC)
Hi I assume you have in addition to set the emitter to speed=0 Sometimes, I had a similar problem when I used the maximum number of particles in the "fluid" to stop emission, and then during a longer sim there was somewhere a loss of particles by some k-daemon and the emitter started to become activ...

Re: Nothing in Top Viewport will move on Y-Axis
Maybe I have misunderstood the question, but is it not the normal behavior of a TOP-view? The top view in the viewport assumes that you see a projections of the objects and you cannot move in more than 2 dimensions. We can move things with our hands even when we look at them from above, but we have ...
