Rendered a project to grid_fluid_emitter particles resulting in 900 bin files. Converted particles to mesh and then imported same to 3D Max. Everything OK with mesh object appearing with Max model. Problems arose when I then deleted the 900 mesh files from the meshes folder within the RF directory. ...

May have solved the problem. I was not using the correct directory and subdirectory routing for the RF plugin to locate 3ds max design 2012.

I am going to the page titled SELECT 3D STUDIO MAX DIRECTORIES (64 BIT) and then chosing Max 2012 and entering the directory for 3dsMaxDesign. Then I see that the components are ticked for Max 2012 (64 bit) ...

Really very helpful.

Went into tools, removed the demo license and installed the new one. Realflow restarted without any errors. Now will install the 3ds Max plug-in.
