Re: plugin Q

The Q plugin is (was?) a plugin that works like the sheeter daemon. I think there was never a webshop but you had to directly contact Yannik F by email to get it.

Re: Problems with PBD Solver filling water glass

This problem, especially with the vase object and other containers with similar geometry has been observed for several years and it is not restricted to the dyverso particles. It might be possible to change scale so that this "anomaly" is almost not visible anymore, but there is no final solution?. ...

Re: Problems with PBD Solver filling water glass

Hi

change some parameters on the container object (the vase), not the dyverso particles:

DY collision distance 0.01
DY interact distance 0.1
DY Friction 0
DY Bounce 0
DY Sticky 0
DY roughness 0
DY interaction factor 0

Re: RealFlow video tutorial

Its my pleasure :geek:
The DigitalTutor ones are very good for beginners. Some can be found on youtube. The only disadvantage is the lack of tutorials for the current version of RF.

Re: RealFlow video tutorial

Thanks for that link, looks like a useful tutorial. For some time, DigitalTutors made new tutorial for new versions of RF, but then they stopped and now they have been bought by Pluralsight and maybe the priorities have changed? Also check out the demo scenes that come with RF and the written tutori...

Re: Crash during particle mesh simulation

Well, I think in the end you have to adapt the polygon size in a way that your hardware can handle the animation in time. When you have a deadline, some corner cutting is needed.
16GB RAM is ok but not a lot. Running the meshing in command line mode (is this possible in the demo?) needs less memory.

Re: Crash during particle mesh simulation

Hi your are saying the sim does not crash with larger polygon size setting in the mesh? If so, you may run out of RAM. Another thought: try other types of mesh generation such as the Legacy Mesh instead of the vdb-mesh. This will take longer, but might be more stable. The demo edition that you are u...

Re: MAYA 2017 Connect

That is a page that seems to belong to RF2014 documentation (although I haven't found a newer table in the documentation. Maybe they wanted to use it for all versions?) There is a version of RF-connect with the plugins for Maya2017 in the download area of the customer gateway. But if you a not a cus...

Yes, it has, but without the render kit functions (no MentalRay included anymore)
