Re: Detail Difference between SPH and PBD?

Thanks again tsn,

Here's a picture of the simulation I'm running now. As I said before, it averages 6-7 minute per frame. I wonder what PBD will do! :D

Re: Detail Difference between SPH and PBD?

...Anyway, with a viscosity value of 200 you might not see any problems at all, but as said this depends on the entire environment (daemons, objects, etc.). I ran (basic) tests with viscosity values of up to 3000 and didn't encounter any popping particles with the solver's defaults. Hey tsn, Thanks...

Re: Detail Difference between SPH and PBD?

Thank you both. Right now, I'm working on a project where a human figure is coming into contact with a very thick fluid. In RF2013, I'm using standard particles with a viscosity of 200, and a high level of sticky and surface friction to really make the fluid stick to the figure. At the scale I have ...

Detail Difference between SPH and PBD?

Hi, I'll be buying 2015 in the next week or so and I'm really looking forward to the speed increases in Dyverso. I'm curious though, is there any differnece in the detail of the fluids between SPH and PDB. Since PDB is so much faster, I thought that might not be as good for simulations that require ...

Re: Setting Initial states with animated objects in scene

Hi, This is a problem with Initials States that I had made a suggestion about some time ago, but so far they have not done anything about. The problem is when the time line is locked, the frames are not saved in cache. I've had the same problem that when I'm locking the timeline to get the simulatio...

Re: Webinar

Sounds good Luis! :D If its not too late, please make the sticky capable of being very very sticky if needed. I'd like the stick to be such that if you dip you hand into a bucket of paint, most of the paint would drip off, but not all, and you've hand would be covered in layer of paint. That's the k...

Re: Scene Scale issues

One of the most important rules of using Real Flow is don't get hung up on the numbers. Make the scale what ever it has to be in order for the shot to look good. If the wine glass is too small in Real Flow, you can either make it bigger in Lightwave (I do not recommend this), or increase the scale i...

Re: Webinar

Hi, I'm really excited about Dyverso. I like to use Standard particles a lot because Hybrio does not work for my needs most of the time. I need the detail of the standard particles. One thing is will Dyverso have the ability to do "Sticky" particles? I found settings in RF2013 for my particles to st...
