Re: Life is sweet
Nice start Philip. Keep up your work! Maybe you want to give your project another try with a higher fluid resolution to get more particles. Dyverso is so fast that you can work with several hundreds of thousands of particles easily - esp. via GPUs like GTX 1060 or 1080.

Re: Using Maxwell denoiser when rendering from RealFlow
The Maxwell version inside RF is 3. When Maxwell 4 came out its main feature was the GPU engine, but GPU rendering still lacks important pipeline elements which are necessary for fluids: volumetrics, layered materials, refraction, particle instancing, RAM fallback, etc. As long as these functions ar...

Re: Create a wetmap using cache ?
I simulated your scene this morning, although I had to do a few adjustments. The simulation time on the CPU was 9 m 20 s for 365 frames. Then I've activated wetmaps for the plastic cup, set the fluid to cache and re-simulated: this process took 1 m 10 s - roughly 1/8th. My machine is an old MacPro. ...

Re: Create a wetmap using cache ?
Wow  The 7 hrs for 30 K particles are way too long already - esp. with Dyverso. But even with standard particles this appears pretty slow. Is it possible to take a look at the scene? I'm really curious what's going on here. If you don't want to share it here just send me a link via PM. I assu...

Re: Realflow 2.5 HANGS Cinema 4D on exit
Btw, I've found some hang events in the console of my Mac. They're located in the "System Diagnose Reports" on the left (don't know if they're called this way in English, but the real term shouldn't be too far away from that). There I have something like Cinema 4D_2018-03-14-084636_XE_WORKSTATION1.h...

Re: Scripted Liquid (internal force)
Or, there is a way to apply internal force to each particle? Yes, that's possible and to use it you have to change the standard emitter's fluid type: Node Params > Particles > Type > Script. Then you click on the "Edit" button below to open the associated scripting editor. It works in the same way ...

Re: Improved Thinking Particles workflow
This announcement is only related to the method how RF particles are turned into TP. TPs don't affect RF particles, but once the particles have been converted it's possible apply Mograph effectors on them, for example. There's also a thread here in the forum with some examples where a user was drivi...

Re: Create a wetmap using cache ?
This sounds as if the loading/caching process is the bottleneck in this proejct, not the simulation itself. How many particles do you have and do you perhaps work on a network drive? Or you have other simulations running as well, e.g. rigid bodies? If that's the case you disable object dynamics with...

Re: Create a wetmap using cache ?
And do you see any difference when you set all substeps to 1?
You can also try to follow the workflow from this tutorial: https://vimeo.com/215167574
It's recorded for Hybrido, but the workflow is exactly the same for Dyverso.
