RFRK For RMS 19
Hi guys. Is there a render kit version close for release with RMS 19 compatibility?
Tried using the most current one but not getting any meshes on my particle imports through the render kit. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong

Re: Tsunami Sim
OOHHHHH. Does that mean you haven't seen Interstellar yet? Isn't that a prerequisite in the VFX world? lol. Actually, i was overall really disappointed in it but it did have some good VFX and the ocean planet scene is awesome. I've struggled with the ocean force daemon to get real control over the w...

Tsunami Sim
So I feel like I should know this by now, but working on a project that needs to be awesome. Trying to create a large scale ocean with an awesome large tsunami-style wave crashing down. Similar to the ocean planet scene in Interstellar. It's mainly for just the ocean scene, there won't be too many o...

Coffee Pour?
I am trying to do a scene with a coffee mug pretty close up. Then having the coffee pouring into it from outside the camera view. I can do it with particles but it's a lot of particles. Thinking this can probably be done with Hybrido. Any suggestions or advice?

Sucking through a straw
I am working on a particle simulation that is, well, cocaine being snorted through a straw. It's for a show about addiction, so don't judge me! lol. I can't seem to come up with a good way to do this. Basically, i built a shape for where the particles will 'line up'. Then used that shape as a fill o...

Errors & Crashing
Hi guys. Posted two messages over the past couple of days and didn't get a response. Then i just realized it was because i posted them in the beta forum. OOPS! lol. Anyway, here they are below Hi guys. I'm struggling here. Trying to get a scene done and i keep running in to problems. It's a pretty s...
Clipping?
Is there a way to clip a real wave to just show within an object? I'm doing a quick scene with a pool and don't really need a hybrido setup but is there a way to clip the real wave so that it only shows within the object? i know i can use a matte object inside of maya but is there an easier way?

Re: how many particles is too many?
yeah it's been a while actually since i really did anything with the SPH solver. And i wasn't originally thinking it would be as many particles as it turned out to be. Gonna give it a go with the hybrido and see how that works out. Usually, is there like a rule of thumb on what to cap out the number...

how many particles is too many?
I'm working on a sim using a particle based scene. I didn't expect it to be as large as it evolved into but at one point the sim reached about 8 million particles. When i meshed it out, it was around 4-5 million faces. It was supposed to be a 144 frame sequence and around 65-70, after hours of simmi...
