Wow that looks great man! Can you share how you achieved that?

Re: Hybrido 2 Boat sim Wrong

Ok , maybe i start well now. I have a question. Do you have any triks for to render fast the mental ray rfrk mesh? 8 minutes 1 frame 400x300 is incredible slow. Sun&Sky. Final Gather. Unified sampling all draft settings. i7 8 cores. Just mesh it in Realflow and then load the bin files so you don't ...

HY_2 Buoyancy

I can't get rigid bodies to float up to the surface of water when inside a HY2 fluid (no matter what mass I set). I can get this effect with SPH particles but I would love to see this fixed/added to HY2 fluids as well. Is this a known limitation?

Vray support should be No.1 priority now days....

Edit: For RFK3.0, that is....
I agree... this is something that would be VERY useful.

Re: Not using GPU and only 1/4 CPU

Truly speaking, I haven't measured that with the stable release, yet. As I am about to doing some serious R&D and setups in the upcoming months, I can tell you more about that, soon. From how I understand the Algorithm inside RF as it was explained by Angel Tena last Siggraph (there are viedos some...

Hybrido/ Grid/ Whatever you may call it = GPU support

That's how it works.

Florian is it also true that GPU is only helpful for scenes with many millions of particles??

Re: Not using GPU and only 1/4 CPU

Yeah so that's a standard SPH particle emitter, and won't take up too much CPU power unless its really complex. Try a command line simulation though and it should go way faster.

Re: Not using GPU and only 1/4 CPU

In also using 2 8 core xeons. What kind of sim are you doing? SPH particles won't always use 100% of your CPU but Hybrido will. As for GPU, I'm not sure but I think that's usually only helpful for scenes with millions of particles (like 10mil+)

Re: Graph Reference as detailed as the Scripting Reference.

Thanks tsn. Angel and Gus showed me this at SIGGRAPH. It's a big help and I'm practicing graphs a lot now. Thanks for the post though :)

Re: Standard Paricles Improvments

You've got to figure out that command line license problem, it might solve your problem completely.
