Re: Daredevil - fluids revealing detailed geometry - how?

Hi there, Which solver are you using? I would assume the SPH(Liquid-Particles). We don´t know exactly how they created that effect, but I would imagine it would be a combination of sticky/roughness/friction in the collision surfaces with surface tension + viscosity and maybe a little bit of playing ...

Re: How can I connect all the geometries to one node ?

Hi there, You are probably missing Multibodies, which are a way to import multiple objects at once, so you don´t have to link and interact with them one at a time. There is a good tutorial from Luis Miguel in his blog : https://luismma.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/tips-and-tricks-how-to-load-an-animated...

Re: How can I import the variable geometries in Realflow 201

Hi cheenn7, Unfortunately, RealFlow doesn´t allow for topology changes in the geometry that interacts with the simulations. However, you should be able to import such a geometry, only Alembic format supported, for other purposes, like using it in preview renders. In any case, the crash should not ha...

Re: Meshing Questions

Isn't Maya gonna get crushed though trying to bring in that many particles into a scene? In many cases, i don't even really want to mesh out those particles so much.
With RFRK it shouldn´t since it doesn´t really load the whole thing but create a point representation in the viewport.

Re: Meshing Questions

Hi Mark, Apologies for the late replies. Q1: Hybrido mesher can be use to mesh any type of particles but it is more suitable for the core of the sim, rather that than the secondary elements. For waterline and bubbles you are probably better off with RK Mesher, even at those high particle counts. Und...

Re: wetmaps as geometry

Hi Matt,

Definitely an interesting topic.
Would it work if instead of generating another geometry, the end result was just the polygons in the areas where the wetmaps have a non zero input?
That might be possible.

Re: Mesh Flicker

Hi there,

Could you send us the scene to check here the parameter values you are using in the mesher node?

Cheers,

Re: Standard scene -> Learning edition converter

Hi does a converter exist ? I am asking this because when you buy a plugin or a tutorial, all the scene are created with the Standard edition, so for us poor hobbyist who have bought the Learning edition, we cant use them, that make the Learning curve harder. Franck Hi Franck, Let us try and find a...
