Re: command line output
Yes, exactly. Its because when meshing on a remote computer and connecting via VNC, one often can see Frame Finished. Scrolling isn't possible, so one doesn't know which frame the machine is working on.

Re: hybrido write out splash and foam generation channels
I strongly second that. For example when creating foam, in the preview I see an area that matches my idea where I want foam to be coming from. After simulation, foam is actually coming from just a fraction of that area. It was great if I could export the emission area as texture and then create or r...

command line output
It was great if command line sims wouldn't only output "Frame Finished" but also the number of the frame in question.

why does Realflow save Realwave into FLW file?
Please deactivate that in an upcoming patch. It is so terrible it makes Realwave impossible to use with really high resolution and wastes Artist/Machine time by saving for ages. Is there any specific reason why RF saves the whole wave and not just the metainformation?

Re: step by step
Foam can usually be rendered as particles only, no mesh is needed. For Splash, it largely depends on the desired look if a mesh is needed in the first place.

Preroll for SD or ABC
Maybe there is something like that and I've never seen it: I need a way to control when an SD or ABC or any imported cache is going to start. Currently, it starts at frame 0 and I need it to start playing back its cache from frame 100 on. Is there a setting inside Realflow I can use or do I have to ...

Re: Approximating Foam cache Size
There was nothing going wrong, RF did a good job calculating tons of foam...my emission walues were a bit overdone, that was all.

Re: Splash from standard emitter?
Use a filter that works upon object collision. Create a container as target folder for your Splash particles and hand the Partcles that have been colliding over to the new container.

Approximating Foam cache Size
Hi, is there a way or a formula I could use in order to estimate how big my foam caches will be with regards to my domain when setting foam creation to "From Domain"? I ended up having files ~ 20GB/ frame which then filled up all my simulation cache HDDs. This is really annoying and I'd prefer estim...
