Re: when i import *.rpc particles, i cannot see attributes.

Sorry for the latr reply. I was out of the office last week.

No need to send a bug report. We're aware of this issue, but thanks anyway ;)

Re: when i import *.rpc particles, i cannot see attributes.

Hi again, Unfortunately I have bad news for you: channels really don't work in RFConnect|Maya. I wasn't able to find out the reason, but it's definitely a show stopper. I hope that this issue will be resolved asap, because it makes the simulation data pretty useless if it can't be rendered correctly...

Re: Increasing resolution without changing simulation

Thank you so much for your kind words Juan. Makes me really happy to read such a positive feedback.

Yes, you're right, upresing is not possible and you've nailed it already: working at the final resultion is certainly the best way to go.

Cheers,
Thomas

Re: when i import *.rpc particles, i cannot see attributes.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm not on Maya, but I'll try to find out what's going there. Did it work in Maya 2017? Or did the problems start with the new RFConnect version? and when i make *.bin mesh from hybrido, is there way to import attributes data into maya colorSet ? so renderer can read ver...

Re: Dyverso Rigid objects: keeping them glued?

Sorry, but unfortunately Dyverso rigids don't have external constraints at the moment. It's on our roadmap, but that won't help you right now. What if you do a Caronte simulation without fluids, save it as an SD, and re-import this SD into a new project where you do the fluid simulation? You can imp...

Re: Increasing resolution without changing simulation

No, you're not missing anything and didn't do anything wrong. Particles influence each other and that's why you get a different look when you work at different resolutions. The advantage, on the other hand, is that you'll get more details with higher particle counts.

Re: Fill fracture with high viscous fluid

That's a great VFX shot, but certainly not easy to replicate in RF|C4D. You need lots of fill emitters - one per fracture. This is perhaps something that can be done with some patience, but there's a more profound limitation: RF|C4D doesn't support objects with changing topology. When an object burs...

Re: elastic sim cache endstate shown

Yes, it's possible to do everything in one pass, but it might happen that the object's interaction with the fluid doesn't turn out as expected. I remember some other user struggling with the amount of splashes, because the body - in his case it was a rigid body - just touched the surface, but didn't...

Re: elastic sim cache endstate shown

That's caused by your cache settings. By default, RF|C4D uses the "Point Level Animation (PLA)" option. When this option is active, RF|C4D creates a copy of the original elastic object in a new group named "Scene (Cache)". What you see at frame 1 is just the original object. When you make it invisib...
