Copy every nth particle to new emitter?
Hey all, I'm simulating some SPH liquid swirls and they will soon be approved by the client. They will want bubbles inside the mesh, and I'm in maya so no frost-meshing. My thought is that this should be doable by iterating id numbers and copy every nth particle to a new emitter, with some condition...

Re: LM is running, still no render.
Thanks for your input Luis, I was trying to render another frame but just copied the name from the attribute editor. Actually there was particle-previs visible in the viewport for the entire animation. I realised today it was working, both visualising the mesh and rendering, I reinstalled my system ...

Re: LM is running, still no render.
Hey Luis,
Thanks for your reply,
In this case it's "Fill_Object01_00000.bin" That's the rf-default I think?
Does it look for any specific naming convention?
Cheers / David

LM is running, still no render.
Hey guys, So for all these years I've never really gotten around to using the RFRK so I wanted to remedy that now but... Installed the rfrk-maya-osx-2013.0.1.7, and the license manager, added my license and made sure via my browser that lm is running and license is available. In maya 2013, the plugi...
Artifacts
Here I am again with some artifacts in the mesh! :D I got this runcycle from a buddy of mine ( https://vimeo.com/bluberry ) and decided to go wet. At first all seemed well but when I raised the resolution and tweaked some parameters I started getting an artifact around half a metre behind where the ...

Object based surface force field
Hey guys, I've tested the "surface force field" example found on the resources page, it's great, but... I would like to be able to use a cached geometry as input instead of setting parameters for the statistical spectrum. Does anyone know if it's possible at all? Or have you seen it done with graphs...

Re: Open Boundaries not working?
I haven't had time to make proper before/after tests yet, but my feeling is that open boundaries is working alot better with the 132-patch, the current shots I'm working on are clipped as I'd expected.

Re: Open Boundaries not working?
Hi Florian, What is your scene scale? I have only been able to use open boundaries satisfactory when working in a geo-scale of 1 in rf, whenever I scale down or up in RF, the behaviour becomes somewhat random, but sometimes it works anyway... Luis admitted this was a problem, meshing scales other th...
