Benchmark

Post by alekpanfilov » Tue Mar 14, 2017 11:16 pm

First of all - greatings 2 all :)

Secondary -> i've wanted to ask, for i think all of us, some kind of performace test/benchmark run - there's none on YT/Vimeo or else.

We can select one public scene from documentation and post particle/mesh sim speed vs. cpu build spec

What do you think Guys/Gals :) ?

Best Alek

Sounds Good. I just got a Ryzen 1700 with Radeon pro Duo 32GB GPU 32GBRAM 2400MHz.
Here is a Test hybrido I did.
Test the Hybirdo RBD scene file simulate for 31:09 minutes

No Open CL Ticked - 42 Frames - 100% CPU ussage

CPU Open CL - 123 Frames 20-25% over all CPU ussage (4 cores were touching 80-100% rest idle)

GPU Open CL 38 Frames 100% CPU ussage

CPU + GPU CL 121 frames Frames 20-25% over all CPU ussage (4 cores were touching 80-100% rest idle)

View port enabled.

My test conclude,
Open CL, lead to 3 times faster SIM
GPU making the Sim slower - need to investigate more.
Realflow does not take advantage if DUAL GPUs while rendering - need to investigate more
