After caching a 300 frame sim and mesh, I noticed that it takes a long time to render frames when i render to picture viewer. If i render the view(Render View) it renders instantly. Is there a reason why it takes so long when i render a single frame to picture viewer? It takes about 2-3 minutes of preparation before the render actually fires off.
The cache seems to be working just fine since I can scrub through my timeline and jump to any frame almost instantly. It's only when i Render to picture viewer.
Thank you.
slow render times after caching
Re: slow render times after caching
The problem is that for render, say frame #100, Cinema plays the time line from the starting frame to the frame to render. This means that RealFlow | Cinema4D is loading all those cached frames before rendering. I guess this is where the slow down is. It doesn't happen for the render view BTW.
We will try to improve this functionality in the next version.
