Can I use the wetmap as a texture for an emission layer?

In this screenshot the pink particles are being emitted from the torus via a wetmap (of the blue particles), but i can only see the pink when I reset to frame zero.

I tried caching the wetmap and using the bitmap sequence as an input for the emission,.. but that doesn't work :(

Is this setup possible?

Hmmm. It should be possible to use image sequences for emission, but I have to check out myself. I hope it's not a bug, but maybe just don't remember correctly. Btw, but I won't be able to test that before Tuesday. Sorry.

I've tested the emission from images sequences and animated shader, but unfortunately only the first frame will be used, the rest is simply ignored. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for pointing us to this issue.
