SPH substep range

Hi, whats a normal production range in SPH? I know this is not just one answer but give or take.
eg. on the PBD solver from 2-2 i can go up to 20-20 for example. Here default is 1-300 so idk what a good value might be in order to get a good sim without overkilling it. Any thoughts? ty
