Collider Tag on a Plane

Hi,
when I apply a collider tag to a plane, the collider geomertry is always sitting quite a distance above the plane.
It doesnt matter what paramerters I change... Collision Distace, or Particle Resolutiuon, I cant get the Collider geometry to be the surface of the plane.
What am I doing wrong?
