Importanted Object as Emitter

Post by Oldcode » Wed Nov 09, 2011 3:47 pm

Hello,

I've imported an object into Real Flow 2012 LE and I need to make it an emitter. It says in the owners manual on page 116...

"You can declare any item as an object emitter, regardless of whether it’s native or imported."

In the picture on page 116, it shows that objects have an "Objects" Node Parameter, but when I select an object, weather it is a native Real Flow primitive, or an imported object, the "Objects" parameters is not there, so I can't make the object an emitter.

Is this a limitation of the Learning Edition? I just checked the LE's page and there is nothing I see that says not being able to make an object an emitter is one of the restrictions.

Hi,

In order to create an Object Emitter, what you have to do is to create both...the "Object Emitter" node, and link to it the object geometry that you want to emit from.

I hope this helps.

Hi Gus,

Yes, that did help. I did not realize what the "object" emitter was for.

Thank you.
