How to get particles closer to my SD model

Post by danielS » Wed Dec 19, 2012 2:47 pm

I have a test with 2 crocodiles swimming in a pool.
It looks like the particles can´t get close to the crocodiles..

The crocodiles comes from maya as sd file. I have changed the geomatry scale in realflow to 0.1 to match our maya scale..
Do I need more Resolution or how can i get the particles closer to the to corocodiles (sd file)?

I also get the problem when I create a waterline and I also get alot of particles created below water level. I guess that is since my gridparticles isn´t close enough to my crocodile sd file.

I'd set the scale back to 1 and see what happens. If anything, you need to make the scale bigger so the water particles are smaller and will interact with the croc models better.

When you generate your mesh and bring it into Maya, you can change the scale of the mesh objects to fit your scene.

Good luck,
