Hi
I want to produce a calm initial state of particels in a bucket, SPH particels. I created a bucket used it as an Fill_Object, used a Drag_Force daemoen and an k_Speed daemen. The k_speed daemon is animated , the vmax parameter is animated from 100 down to 0.1 over 1500 frames.
My question:
The particels are calm after 1000 frames , vmax of the particels is 0.15, everything is fine. I used this as an initial state. Ok.
But when i deactivate the k_speed daemon now, the particlesspeed up again up to 90 . ?!?!
What i´m doing wrong ? I don't understand that behavior .
Best,
Tom

Initial state - calm particles an k_speed
Re: Initial state - calm particles an k_speed
The way I calm standard particles is to use k_Speed with the limit and keep. I set it to a min/max speed of 0 and 1 respectively. As soon as its calm enough, I create my initial state and then set k_Speed to a 1 and 10. That way they have enough of a range to move the way I need it to but will still be calm enough to the shot.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Thanx !
... in my scene the initial state is the basis point for an animation of the bucket, the particels are thrown in the space, like you throw paint in the space, therefore i would like to habe totaly calm fluid at the beginning, i will fight
.. an interesting link and side in total you find here http://www.rf-toolfactory.com/rftutorials/relaxed.html too...
