GFX card update

Post by Otuama » Tue Jul 02, 2013 7:43 pm

I just got a message saying there is a new nVidia update for my Geforce GT 540M. It's update version 320.49.

I currently have 314.22 installed to avoid slow SPH times.

Does nVidia update the drivers to work with Rf or does NL have to update Rf to work with the nVidia drivers?

In other words, will the new version work properly with Rf or should I wait for the patch?

Diolch.

Oooo, ok, I'll do a SPH test with my current driver and then test the new one. I'll hopefully get back to you with good news.

Thanks.

As i said in my other post the new drivers give better Rwave performance but sph is still poor.

Just tried this one myself. Not a good one.
Same issues than the other 320.xx ones, but now I cannot open Maya , so rolling back.

[EDIT]: Back to the previous driver RF works as expected, and Maya doesn´t crash on start.

Interesting. When I originally noticed the SPH slowdown, I too had a problem opening Maya. Trying to remember what problem I had with it. Only when I rolled back to a previous driver did Maya work and did I notice an increase in speed with SPH.
