Artifacts

Post by izo » Tue Oct 01, 2013 9:38 am

Here I am again with some artifacts in the mesh! :D

I got this runcycle from a buddy of mine (https://vimeo.com/bluberry) and decided to go wet.
At first all seemed well but when I raised the resolution and tweaked some parameters I started getting an artifact around half a metre behind where the character puts his foot down every other step or so.

What do you guys do in a situation like this to start debugging?
Thanks for any suggestions

Here are the quicktimes:

Oh man that looks annoying.
Can you give a little more info on your setup?
Any fields moving around or bounding stuff moving along with the character?

Hey Izo,

Could you try adding a value for surface offset included in the object?. Try setting a value for the surface offset to the cell size/2. It is due to the geometry voxelization with hybrido, becuase surely that problem will be displayed in Hybrido particles as well.

Let us know if it works.
