Hello,
I am a RealFlow newbie. LOVE it so far..
I am working on a project rendering with Arnold.
I have set up some RealFlow sims and have meshed them into .Bin sequences.
Brought those into Maya and they render out beautifully with Arnold.
However, no motion blur capabilities with the .bins.
I want to generate a motion vector so I can add motion blur in post. It appears that the motion vector information is built into the .bin meshes.
Is there a way I could do a light render pass with MR or Vray or Renderman (I have all 3) of only the motion vector using the scene that is already setup with the .bins??? I would prefer to use VRay because I am best at it - initial tests did not have any RealFlow .bin motion vector information.
Thank you for your help.
EDIT:
I needed to convert my camera to a Vray physical camera. Only problem now is that is has different DoF as my Arnold Camera. This would mean that all DoF would have to be done in post - WHICH is what I should do anyways -
BUT does anyone know a workaround to produce the motion vector in the same Arnold camera so I could maintain the same DoF settings?? I'm afraid to even try to match them with the Vray camera...
Thanks!

Re: Arnold Motion Blur
Hi and welcome to the RealFlow world
We are working in a plugin to connect arnold with renderkit but it is still in alpha. Could you send us a mesh to check it here?. For some reason, the mesh couldn't be exporting out the motion vertex info.

Re: Arnold Motion Blur
What I ended up doing is rendering out with Arnold for beauty and other AOVS, then changing the mesh the a vr mesh and changing the camera to a VRAY physical and rendering out only a motion vector. It works fine this way.
I render out with ZYNC so I wish they had Realflow render kit support which I guess they are working on. Because right now I can only send them Alembic's
