This has been posted for a user with LE who can't post on here for some reason:
-----------
Hey all,
When i purchased the LE edition i was at work so i installed it on my laptop (4xCore/6gb) and played about with the demo scenes etc.
i have now moved it to my main machine (8xCore/16gb) and its very very slow.
i have installed it on my second machine (6xCore/8gb) for the purposes of testing only
here are the results of a simple test scene comprising a Realwave surface with Oceanstatisticalspectrum and gerstner waves.
200 hundred frames, simmed to screen ->
8xCore @4.0ghz 16gb Ram - 5 minutes 53 seconds
6xCore @3.81ghz 8gb Ram - 12 seconds
I am a member of the official forum, but it still wont let me post/pm or anything, could someone please link/copy this post so someone at NL can see it?
cheers
Deejay.

Hello,
Trying to find the email Deejay registered on our gateway with in order to be able to give him access.
Always tricky when people use different email/usernames in our sites.

(Update: Installed Driver 311.15 for my Quadro k5000 and Realflow is running very fast now on my machine. Also tried the new beta driver 326.19 and it is also running great. Need to see if the beta driver runs Adobe CC so I don't have to keep switching drivers.)
I agree, have been getting some slow sim times with realflow 2013 LE.
I've found out if you set up a basic circle particle emitter, a object plane and some gravity, it will run slow if you use all 16 cores, and run very fast if you just use 1 thread. Not sure why this is?
What is the best way to set up RealFlow for faster sim times?
I have a HP z820 8 core(16 hyperthread) xeon machine with 64 gb of ram
quadro k5000 for my graphics card.

I have this problem too, but when I simulate with command line... it goes incredibly fast. Try it if you haven't!

Have you tried limiting your cores to the 8 real CPUs you are having? This did the job for me on some scnes but only with the SPH. It seems like Hyb2 doesn't have those problems.

Can you use the Command line in the LE editions? 2012? 2013? I'm doing sims with about 650,000 SPH particles and it takes a while, between 9-12 minutes per frame.
If I could speed that up, it would be really nice!

Give it a try. Would have taken less time for you to try than to type your post.
As far as I know you can.
