question

Post by seghierk@yahoo.fr » Tue Jun 11, 2013 3:13 am

hello ; today i purchase learning edition
i open the scene hybrido waterfall and i apply some modification
scale of k_volume (1&2)
move cube01_emitter and scale it
add new cube and i disable simulation of waterfall_dummy
than i reduce the strenght of noise to 0.4
this is two screenshots
i want know how make it more realistic ( Flowing water on the surface of the glass wall)
and how i render foam and all particles in maxwell render ?
i try rendering water like that in maxwell render but the result was not like in reality
Many thanks

I assume what you are trying to achieve is something that it called laminar flow, unfortunately, this is not the easiest of tasks with today's liquid simulation software for CG.

Instead of going the Hybrido2 way, I'd suggest you might use standard particles inside Realflow, use a high stickyness value for the cube, maybe also Sheeter and then slowly crank up Resolution and Substeps until it gets you there.

If you want o use scripting/ script nodes, I'd try killing virtually any velocity parallel to the cube's surface normal...maybe with a bit of a bias to make...

Anyway, all this could work and this is how'd approach the task, there's no guarantee.

many thanks Florian ; i will try what you tell me
i have idea but i don't know if give me real result ; i will try apply wave material to the glass and the under the cube i put the particle system
