I have tried and reaflow crashes on me?
Trying to do the sample spaceship scene.
with opencl-gpu selected it runs, when I select both gpu and cpu it crashes.

If you can't run both...which is the better choice to faster sim times?

I have a quadro k5000 for my gpu
my cpu is xeon x5-2660 8 core with 64 gb ram.

Hey,

Have you tried to install the driver 311.15. My colleague Gustavo sent a mail about this topic. It was about some issues with the latest drivers for Nvidia graphic cards.
Hello,

We are checking with some nVidia cards and drivers to see if we can get to the bottom of this issue to try and make it ‘driver independent’ so to speak if that is even possible.
So far, what we have found, is that at least the latest driver available on the Quadro cards 320.0 doesn´t like RealFlow very much. However, the previews one don´t have any issue performing as expected. 311.15 is a good one, and this is the recommended one for the latest AD suite
http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-cer ... erSelected.

Simple test run over 100 frames a scene using a circle emitter inside a cube with gravity…

using driver 320.00, simulation time 4min40seconds! :)
using driver 315.15, simulation time 10 seconds! :D

We are trying to contact nVidia to update also the recommendations on their side so we have at least some recommended ones there when you go to update them.

g-)
Let me know if it works.

Sorry for getting back to you much later. Had other projects to work on before studying Realflow.

It still crashes on my Hybrido setup when I check OpenCL-CPU. Hybrido works fine if I only check, Use OpenCL-GPU.
I'm using the 311.15 driver on my quadro k5000 card.

I'm running the student version of Realflow 2013. Should I be able to check both? Is there a better quadro driver I should use?
Thanks,
Joe
