I was wondering how I can run a sim on a different graphics card I have 2 of them but one has more cuda's then the other and would be more suited for sims, how do I go about picking the other one in realflow if possible? It shows it is possible but when I pick GPU it crashes..

Not sure if this would help or is even advised (so maybe wait for someone who knows what they're talking about) but if you have an Nvidia card go to the Nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings > program settings > add Rf if not already in the list and set the preferred gfx card.
NextLimit advise you however to set the Nvidia control panel to 'Let the 3d application decide' in 'Adjust image settings with preview'.
---------------------
I actually have a question about this. When going through the steps above, I selected Rf in the program settings and it's set to use my laptops integrated card. Should I set it to the Nvidia card or does me having 'Let the 3d application decide' selected internally set Rf to use my Nvidia card?

Did you have any crashes? I could not get RF to go because it would crash, I don't know if it makes the sims any faster or not..

Hi Gitch,
What cards and drivers are you using?
Cheers,

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti not sure what the driver is for the second, I use this for CUDA..

Hi again,
That Quadro I believe doesn´t have compute capability 2.0 which is the minimum needed to support openCL 1.1.
Since we currently don´t have a way of deselecting it from the GPU devices, what RF2013 does is simply ignore it, but it might be possible that the fact that is there is what is causing it to crash. Could you try and disable the QuadroFX and see if with just the newer one things run ok?
Cheers,
g-)

That would be great if you could switch between the the to that is what I kind of figured, in other applications that I use I can pick which card I need to use for CUDA's but yeah the quadro has no horsepower when it comes to CUDA's. yeah that was causing the crash because it was trying to use the Quadro. Thanks Gus appreciate it I know I will have more to ask you.. Scott

Gus, I actually have a question about this.
When going through the steps above, I added Rf. In the program settings it's set by default to use my laptops integrated card. Should I set it to the Nvidia card or does having 'Let the 3d application decide' selected internally set Rf to use my Nvidia card?
Or, should I delete Rf from the program settings of the Nvidia control panel?

Just the application picks it from what I see. It only can see my quadro on not the GTX.
