Alembic Bug

Hi guys, been working on a scene with a martini glass shattering. I am shattering the glass inside of maya using my fracturing program, then exporting to alembic. When i do this, and bring it in to RF, it is bringing it in but basically doubling up all of the geometry and showing many of the fragments already on the floor or in the air having already shattered. I can still then run the scene and those extra frags do NOT interact with the other geometry, but the problem is, they are killing my time as they are adding so much extra geometry to the scene. It also makes it look so bad so it is hard to tell sometimes what is really going on.
