hello.. no matter what I try, I get these strange bars of particles.. any idea..
I tried with RF 2012, and no problem.. but with RF 2013.. no luck

Hi herve,
It seems be a bad voxelization with the geometry. Could you send me the scene and the SD to try here? I could tell you if there is something wrong.
Thanks

Hello Luis... I have managed to get it right... there was 3 flying lonely polygons.. I removed them, and perfect now.. But I wonder why it worked before with RF2012.. anyway, all good now..
thanks

Simply because Hybrido in 2012 was a totally different technology and not comparable to the FLIP solver in RF2013

Hi herve,
tsn is right, thanks

. Hybrido 1 and Hybrido 2 are not comparables because they are different technologies. So, Hybrido 1 was LBM and Hybrido 2 is flip, and the voxelization is different for each one.

oki doki... Luis, could we say that each Hybrido has its pros/cons.. or is the FLIP hybrido just better at everything .. (compared to the hybrido LBM) ?

Hi Herve,
Flip is better than LBM for many reasons. I mean, greater amount of particles, a better handle of the memory, and the detail you get with the Flip won't be never reached by the LBM. Flip has pros/cons as you said, but it will be always better than LBM.

oki. thanks Luis..

indeed for what I do now, maybe this extra detail with greater particles number and greater detail is a bit too much for my project... hehe.. but yes overall I found FLIP super awesome, although for now very "water" oriented, but maybe in future releases viscosity would be a nice re-addition

Viscosity and surface tension will be added with next major release.
