Still can't use Command Line in 2012

Hi,
I really need to be able to use the Command Line in 2012, but I keep getting the same stupid message about not having a license, even though I do.
How can I fix this?

Hi Oldcode,
What's your current license type: learning edition, demo, or standard GUI? Is there a "demo_license.txt" file in the License Manager's program folder? If so, could you please remove it and try starting the CL again? I guess the LM displays correct information in the web interface? You can call it from any web browser with i_address:2226.

Hi tsn,
Thanks for writing back so quickly. According to the window that pops up, I've got 2012 GUI, and the Type is "Learning".
There is no demo_license.txt in my LM folder. I only have this one computer using Real Flow. How do I look at the 2226 port on my local machine, or is there some other way I can look at the LM?
Thanks,

Just start the LM, open your browser, and type into the URL field: localhost:2226
Then, a window should appear showing you all available licenses. Please note that the GUI license won't show up here, as it's not managed by the LM. It's just a test to see if the app is running.
There's, btw, a new LM available from the customer portal (v1.8.0.0019). I'm not really convinced that this new version will solve your issues, but it's worth a try,
Another thing to try is to trigger the command line manually via a terminal. Maybe it's working this way. If you don't know how to create a command line string manually, please let me know.

Hey tsn,
Thanks again. The local host command worked and now it is displaying the stored licenses and the license clients. As you said, it's only showing the RFRK2013 that I got when I bought 2013.
I'll try downloading the new version of the License Manager after I get back from work tonight. (its 6:30am here).

Ok, the localhost test passed. Let's see what the new LM finally does and if it's possible to trigger the CL via a terminal manually.

Hey tsn,
I just installed the new LM and no go.

I checked and confirmed with the -v that the new LM installed and running the latest version.
When I try to run my scene file, I get a Checking license... [ALERT]: No valid licenses were found.
Any other ideas?

Thanks for letting me know Oldcode. Please let me check back with our devs what could be the reason for this issue. I had this problem as well here, but for me it was easier to solve, because I simply got a new license. Let's see what we can do in your case. So, I like to ask for a little patience and maybe one of the developers will get in touch with you here directly.
In the meantime you might try one more thing: stop the LM, open RF, remove the GUI license, close/restart RF, and reinstall the GUI license. Do not restart the LM! Now, send your scene to the CL. You should also try this with a manually created CL string.

Thanks tsn,
I'll give that a try later when I have some time. I can wait for I have a work around. I create the scene file is 2012, but then bring it into 2013 where I can use the internal CL.
Why am I bothering with the CL for 2012 when I have 2013? There's an issue that's come up with 2013 that I'll post in another topic when I have a little more information.
Thank again,

Hello,
Sorry I've not gotten back to you sooner. I just tried your above suggestion and it did not work. I keep trying to remove the license from the LM but to does not want to go. When I start Real Flow up again, the license is back. I keep getting the same message when I try to use the command line. It keeps telling me there's no valid license.
I really would like to be able to do this. Because of problems with the way it handles Initial States, RF 2013 is useless to me for my current project.
Having the command line would really help things along.
Any more ideas?
