Hello,
I am building a Presets import and export system and need a way to test specific daemon types (gravity, Attractor, Wind). I think that the information is there but I am not sure how to get at it. getType() only returns 1 or Daemon. Any extra info on how to dig that information out would be awesome.
Thanks!

Re: Specific Daemon type
Hi Jesse,
If I recall correctly, there is no straightforward way to know the type of a Daemon in the current version of RealFlow 2013.
We could try some ugly workarounds, or wait until the next patch is released.
It will contain functions like getEmitterType(), getDaemonType() and getObjectType().
Sorry for not having them since long time before.
The upcoming patch could be on your hands as soon as today. But let me know if you still need it for previous versions of RealFlow.

Re: Specific Daemon type
That is great, thank you Alex.
Do you happen to know if that patch will address some of the alembic issues I asked about in the general thread? I wrote some hacky functions as a quick fix but I would rather focus on other stuff if it will not be an issue soon.
Thanks again.
