Resolution from hybrido to SPH ?

Post by Dus » Mon Sep 13, 2010 12:24 am

Hey there,

I wanted to know what is the resolution relationship between a grid based particle sim and a standard .bin sim. I mean I did calculate some hybrido particles with the export as .bin case checked. But when I import my particles back with a .bin loader for example the resolution is very low.

I got roughly 100k particles with the grid sim and around 20k with the same particles exported as .bin.

Is there a way to handle this ratio ? Since we can't import grid based particles in 3d softwares I hope there is a way to "save" the resolution we had with the hybrido sim.

Thanks :)

Hello,

There is a formula for that.

cl = cell length of your grid domain

resolution = ( 3 / ( 10 * cl ) )^3
