Hi all,

[EDIT] I found my problem.. somehow a smart quote snuck into my string... fixed that and it's running. [EDIT]

I have followed the online documentation for creating a command line string to mesh a scene...

The string I have created is:
"/Applications/RealFlow 2013/RealFlow.app/Contents/MacOS/RealFlow64" -mesh “/Volumes/3TB_Seagate/liquids/scene2_water/scene2/scene2.flw"

BUt when I try to use it via the terminal window I get this error:
Loading plugins ...
Initializing Scene Layers ...
Loading workspace 2013/RealFlow.app/Contents/MacOS/RealFlow64 -mesh “/Volumes/3TB_Seagate/liquids/scene2_water/scene2/scene2.flw ...
Error reading workspace: 2013/RealFlow.app/Contents/MacOS/RealFlow64 -mesh “/Volumes/3TB_Seagate/liquids/scene2_water/scene2/scene2.flw
>19:11:37:
Error: Couldn't load workspace 2013/RealFlow.app/Contents/MacOS/RealFlow64 -mesh “/Volumes/3TB_Seagate/liquids/scene2_water/scene2/scene2.flw

Any ideas what I did wrong?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi russ,

If you are running RealFlow 2013 is not necessary to type the sentence to run in command line. Just check the command line option into the simulation button ( click on the arrow close the simulation button). Checking that option the simulation will run in command line.

Anyway, the correct sentence is "realflow -nogui ........etc"

Luis, will that also work for the 64Bit version, then?

Hi,

of course. RealFlow for Mac OSX is 32 bits GUI but 64 for commandline.

Just one correction on that post:
For OS X, the CL version is indeed triggered with ".../RealFlow64". If you use ".../RealFlow" -nogui then the 32bit version is opened! Under Windows and Linux, this differentiation is not made.

Here's some information for OS X users:
