SD geo slows down sims when converted to curve

hi!
i got a whole bunch of geometry, when imported as SD, and inacive, RF sims fast , as i got only 2k particles.
But i converted the Sd to CURVE for all the objects, an scaled it x4 in x, so the animation is slower....RF super slow.
no scaling of the curves, Sim is fast, scaling on = sim slow.

Hi,
Are you simulating Hybrido?. If so, the geometry need to be voxelized and for this reason it is taking more time due to the geometry scale.
Let me know.

Hi,
no hybrido, just good old SPH

Do you still only have 2000 particles?
If you are making your geometry 4x bigger, then in theory you would have a good deal more particles.
I try to avoid making sd objects into curves unless I absolutely have to.
But it sounds like you are doing a non-uniform scale and you can't just change the scene scale right?
Would be nice to be able to make a change like this without a serious performance hit.

ah! forgot to clarify hat the scaling i am doing is on the animation curves for position and rotation.
So no 'size' scaling being done on the SD.

Oh very cool, I need to check that out...sounds very useful...if it doesn't slow stuff down.
