Hello,
I am new to Realflow... Just started using the "learning edition" about a week so far.
Where can I find the settings for "viscosity" for the liquids? I am using Realflow 2013 64bit, Windows 7 64bit.
Most of the tutorials I've seen are for earlier version like Realflow 2012 and an earlier version of 2013, because it has the square domain box... The version I'm using just has the single flat domain box.
regards,
Danakinobi

Re: Realflow 2013 Viscosity settings
Are you using Hybrido? Is yes, then there is no Viscosity setting. You are stuck with the plain old water Viscosity, at least until 2014 comes out.
If you are using Standard Particles, select the emitter, and Viscosity is listed in the emitter properties.
Note: If you increase the Viscosity, then increase your Minimum Substeps to just a little bit higher. For example, if you set the Viscosity at 50, then set the Minimum Substeps to 55.
Good Luck.

Yes... Sorry, for got to mention that... Yes, I am using Hybrido...Oldcode wrote:Are you using Hybrido?
I'm currently working on making a ball cutting through a pool of water.
When I first created the seen an did a few simulations... The water seemed very thick and goowie... Almost like the ball was traveling through thick syrup... The liquid behind the ball took a while to go back into shape.
It was this way using both simulation with gui and through command line.
Since I could not find the viscosity... I ended up just starting over from scratch... This seemed to have fixed what ever was going on with this.
Thanks for the help. I was going nuts trying to find viscosity settings, but now that you have told me that "Hybrido" currently does not have this... Then this makes a lot of sense.

Hi,
RealFlow 2014 will have viscosity solver for Hybrido. Take a look these videos.

Hi Luis,
Those look really cool! Will the new Hybrido Viscosity have a Sticky setting so the think fluid sticks to the object as it makes contact?
Thanks,
