Hi,
I've got a project where I want to use elastic particles so they move in a stretch like way as objects interact with them.
My question is, can I pour a liquid with the emitter set to Fluid first, get the particles where I want them (poured around an object that will be animated), then switch the emitter type to Elastic so as the object moves, the particles stretch as they move?
Will the particles have the invisible connections between them like elastic particles do or will there ben connection since the were emitted before the emitter was set to elastic particles?
Thanks,

Re: Question about Elastic Partilces
Filter/Script daemon?
Re: Question about Elastic Partilces
Thanks for the tip Delta, but what I was thinking was changing the particles type in the node properties from Fluid to Elastic. I tried it last night and I think the answer is no. Only particles emitted after that point would have have the Elastic Spring.
I've got a couple of other ideas.
Thanks again,

Re: Question about Elastic Partilces
Hi,
I think that the best option to do that is what DeltaJuliet told you. Try to use a filter daemon or script. Anyway, it might be a bit complicated changing from liquid to elastics due to it might cause explosions in the fluid.

Thanks Luis,
I'll try that. You never know.
