This is my setup:
Standard particles (simple cube, filled with an Fill Object emitter, cube removed from Global Links) with default elastic settings are affected by a gravity daemon and collide with a cube object, serving as a ground node. When the particles hit the ground, they completely explode. The same scene in RF4 shows a correct behaviour with bounces and deformation of the fluid.
This error can be reproduced.
Elastic Particles explode
Re: Elastic Particles explode
Hi Thomas,
I have just tried to reproduce that error in Windows, but it is working fine at this end.
Can you pass us the scene, even if it is a trivial one, please?
Also, are you testing this on OSX ? 32? 64bits???
Cheers,
g-)

Re: Elastic Particles explode
Of course I can send you the file. No problem. BTW, I'm using the latest RF5 32-bit version for OS X.
Re: Elastic Particles explode
Hi Gus,
I got it: the amount of substeps wasn't sufficient in my scene. With higher settings everything works as expected. It seems that RF5 reacts more sensitive on lower substeps than RF4. Anyway, thanks for your efforts.
