Hi,
I have a couple of questions about export central and object animation cache:
Regarding animation cache:
I am doing a test simulating hundreds of objects as softbodies but I noticed that by default only the scene ANIMATION.sd is active. After the simulation all the objects are cached and I can scrub the timeline to see their animation; I can hit reset and update the time line cache again and see the animation no problem there.
I set the objects to cache and added a hybrido set up to have the objects (which have been simulated and cached) interact with the hybrido. But now when I hit reset to start the hybrido simulation the objects cache seems to have been deleted and is only simulating the hybrido and not playing back the objects cache.
So I figure I have to activate each individual object's animation.sd in Export Central to save each object's cache. Is this correct?
If so this takes me to my second question:
Regarding Export Central:
Since I have hundreds of objects in my scene, is there a way I could set options for all of them at once in Export Central?
Thank you
Cache and Export central set multiple objects export options
Re: Cache and Export central set multiple objects export opt
To your first question about animation caches, yes that's correct. This is from RF's F1 help about the cache mode:
“Cache” mode only works with individual "Animation (.sd)” files. The global “ANIMATION (.sd)” and “CACHE (.bdc)” formats do not support caching.
If you want to activate the SD resources for all of your objects simply click on the "All Objects" button in the Export Central window.
Cheers,
Thomas
