How can I capitalize on my CPUs in command line mode?

Post by chennn7 » Sat Jun 13, 2015 12:27 pm

Hello everyone.
I was working on a project about special effect of ocean. I was using the hybrid domain to simulate the ocean effect. There were about 20 millions (20000000) particles in my domain. I wrote a .BAT file to launch Realflow 2014 in the command line mode to simulate my hybrido domain .
It took about 20 minutes per frame to simulate my scene. The whole animation length was 400 frames. But I found my CPU utilization were lower than 10% most of the time. Sometimes my CPU utilization dropped to 0%. How can I capitalize on my CPUs in simulating the hybrido in command line mode ? Please help me.
