Hi,
I did a quick search in the forums but could not quite find an answer to my question so I post it here.
- Is there a way to get the magic deamon to press or conform the particles closer to the geometry?
- Is it possible to have the particles come to rest after they attach to the object even if the object is animated? Not sure if that makes sense but I notice the particles keep moving like in some kind of turbulence way after they reach the object.
Thanks
Magic deamon - get particles closer to geometry
Re: Magic deamon - get particles closer to geometry
Hey,
Sorry for the late reply. We're all busy with polishing RF2015.
There's no native daemon option to stick the particles closer to an object's surface. The space between the particles depends on an emitter's "Resolution" parameter, because it determines the particles' radius values. Did you also check the object's "Collision distance"? Maybe it's a bit too high? You also might want to place an "Attractor" inside your object and activate at a certain point in time.
A good method to slow down the morphing particles is to use a "Drag Force" daemon. You can make it bounded and animate so it will become stronger over time.
