question about foam and splash

Post by thornemedia » Mon Jan 25, 2016 6:09 pm

hey guys i'm working on my first real project in realflow and im trying to work with foam and splash layers. the question i have is once they are cached do i mesh them with the main water sim or do I mesh them on there own? or should i leave them as particles? if they are meshed as one mesh how do i go about texturing them so the foam looks like foam?

any help would be great
thanks in advance

I recommend rendering them as particles. In order to keep simulation times moderate, the RFRK provides the "MultiPoint" option - it's also part of an emitter's "Maxwell Render" parameter set. With this feature it's possible to add a given number of extra particles at render time and create the impression of a dense particle cloud.
