Grid Fluid and Substeps

Post by FlorianK » Mon Jun 27, 2011 1:11 pm

Recently I was wondering to what extent the substeps setting affects the Grid Solver. I did some experiements and it feels like the substeps don't affect the grid solver at all, but only the SPH particles. Since the grid is using a different solver (correct me if I am wrong but I think it was Lattice- Boltzmann) the substepping might need completely different values than it needs for standard particles.

You are right Florian the grid domain is not affected by any change in the simulation stepping setup. This is a constraint of our solver.
