strange lines upon import to 3ds max

I set a realwave to scale 40x40, dimension 1400, and statistical spectrum waves; then when I simulate and import into 3ds max, I get weird lines on the model. Changing to a new texture doesn't help. I use Windows Vista, 3ds max 2011, and realflow 5. How do I get past this problem?

Hi,

Could you please post the RW settings.

Make a couple of screengrabs with the Statistical Spectrum parameters, the RW parameters, and also any other waves you have added.

Without the right settings we may not be able to reproduce the issue.

Cheers,

I have seen this effect too. I think it's only a viewport issue and the strange patterns are not there when rendered.

They do appear in the viewport; but they are also there in the render, or at least they are for me.

Hi,

Its a simple Quality problem.
Start increasing the Quality setting in the StatisticalSpectrum node, and those lines will dissapear.
