Filter Daemon and viscosity

Post by o.delellis@gmail.com » Thu Aug 02, 2012 7:35 am

Hi everyone,

i posted about this on the un-offical Rf forum way back when RF 5 was out...

and is still not working but i do seem to remember that on an earlier build of RF 2012 this did work??? or am i going crazy

what i am trying to do is use the Filter deamon to alter the viscosity of a fluid mid drip, and no it doesnt work!!!!!

any ideas besides scripting that this might actually work, if no, are thre ANY plans from Next Limit to enable this pleaaaase??

thanks

Of course it is annoying if things like that do not work. I also hope NL will be fixing that in RF 2013, as the new nodal workflow will give them the opportunity of re- working some of the old nodes.

Currently, your only way of achieving the desired results is scripting and I think the script Stuart offered you in the unofficial forums is a good starter, even for those without great knowledge of Python.

Another way you could achieve the desired effect is by abusing HotnCold.
