Hi Hervé,

Apologies for not replying sooner.
What was the issue that made you see that low performance?
It will be interesting to know.

hello Gus..

well I am using the hot&cold plugin... so maybe it's that..

the use of all cpu power is growing as more particle are fired... so amazingly each frame takes the same time to calculate... looks like RF is taking more cpu as the job becomes more demamding (more particles)... and so if Frame 10 has 5000 particles (cpu use at 10%), it takes almost the same time as frame 250 that has 200.000 particles... (cpu at 85%)

Hello Gus...

I have that scene with one object falling down on a plane floor, one object (soft body), gravity, one flat box..

It only uses 3% of the 32 threads.. (use Max threads ON)

any idea..? I thought maybe Soft body uses only one thread..?

thank you

Hello Herve,

Softbodies are parallelized if there are more than one softbody. Using only one softbody is not parallelized.
