Problems with PBD Solver filling water glass

Post by xavikai » Sat Jan 28, 2017 5:24 pm

Hi, I'm trying to fill a water glass with dyverso particles, but always I have the same problem. The fluid in the central part is lower than the sides of the object.
You can see this video:
https://vimeo.com/201428740
My settings are:

Dyverso preferences
Min substeps:6
Max substeps:6
Accuracy:0.8

Domain
Resolution:100
Cell size:0.05

Mesh
Auto Polygon size
Filter:Yes
Steps:32

I am aware that I do something wrong. I looked for tutorials but I have not found any solution.
How can I solve this problem?

Hi

change some parameters on the container object (the vase), not the dyverso particles:

DY collision distance 0.01
DY interact distance 0.1
DY Friction 0
DY Bounce 0
DY Sticky 0
DY roughness 0
DY interaction factor 0

Hi Christian,
Thanks for your help. The liquid looks better but the problem persists.

This problem, especially with the vase object and other containers with similar geometry has been observed for several years and it is not restricted to the dyverso particles. It might be possible to change scale so that this "anomaly" is almost not visible anymore, but there is no final solution?. See here:
