Interaction between Dyverso granular and SPH

Post by William Bridge » Wed Jan 31, 2018 11:20 am

Im trying to achive some kind os interaction between a granular simulation and a liquid (SPH). I read this in the RF10 manual: "Different materials are partially able to interact: SPH + SPH + Granular (+ Rigid with limitations)". And I saw this video of liquid and granular interaction.

https://vimeo.com/193565563

Im experimenting with project called "granular sand" in the presets. Im simply adding a Dyverso SPH Domain and circular emiter, granular and liquid domain are linked to the same Hub, a gravity daemon, and a collision box mesh for contain simulation; both linked aswell. Im running the simulation and dont see any kind of interaction between liquid and granular.

¿What im doing wrong?

Thank you pals

Hi William,

I'm very sorry, but that's a mistake in the manual  I will remove the wrong information immediately to avoid further confusion. Only the "true" Dyverso materials are able to interact (Granular, PBD, Viscoelastic, Viscous, Rigid, Elastic), while SPH is a completely different method. Here's a (correct) table with all possible interactions:

Again, sorry for the mess and the time you spent. But a big thanks from my side for pointing me to this error.
